You can still go "Over the sea to Skye" by taking the ferry from Mallaig to Armadale and enjoy the wonderful scenery of the South of the island as you travel North towards Broadford and on to Portree or take a trip from Kyle across the Skye Bridge, which is now free to all traffic. You can also use Skye as a stop-over if your travelling on the Outer Hebrides by ferry as there are daily sailings to Harris and North Uist from Uig in the North of Skye.
